Beauty posts moved.

Posted on

Hey guys.

I felt like having the nail polish and general beauty posts in with the food posts was kind of weird, so I have now moved them to a seperate awesome blog. They have all been removed already, so you won’t find any of them here as of right now.

myawesomebeauty.wordpress.com

That’s where all the beauty and random posts will come from now on. This blog will only have food recipes!

I’ll make this post sticky for a little while until everyone knows. Thanks! :-)

Simple chunky chicken soup.

Posted on

I’ve been in such a soup-mood lately and I’ve never made a chicken soup before. Shocking, right? I googled and I googled until I just decided to make my own. This was so easy and it turned out really good. I just simply cut up some vegetables; onion, carrot, kale, iceberg salad and baby spinach, and tossed in some water with a bullion cube in it. I’m sure I could have made the bullion from scratch, but I wasn’t in the mood. I started out with the chicken and the carrots first, then added the onion and added greens (kale, salad and spinach) when it had 5 minutes to go or so. I also boiled up some noodles on the side and put it in the soup when the soup was done. It took me 30 minutes or so. Yum! :)

Ferdig! :-)

Fårikål

Får-i-kål = sheep in cabbage. Yes, seriously. This is Norways national dish and this is such an easy meal to make and it’s really difficult to get wrong. You chop up a cabbage and you put in in your casserole with the lamb. Yes. That’s it. You salt it slightly and you put in whole black peppers and add tons of water. Put on low heat for well.. 2-3 hours. And yey, there you have it. Something that’s slightly bland yet surprisingly good. You eat it with potatoes on the side usually and salt on the table. :)

Yey; Norges nasjonalrett! :-) Serveres med poteter og salt på bordet.

Artist Recommendation: Paolo Nutini

Gah, I’ve loved this guy since a Scottish friend (hi, Steven!) told me about him when he was new way back in the day. He turned kind of quiet after his first album, but he’s sure back in the game now. I was at his concert here in Oslo photographing the show and I was blown away. I mean.. he looks drunk! He looks drunk and high, and it’s awesome. He kind of goes into his own world it seems where it’s just him and the music and his voice is just so.. old in the best kind of way. The best kind of music to listen to. Here are some of my images from the concert.

PS. Next entry is koliche for you sweets lovers out there! :D Making it tomorrow!

NYC – you’re awesome.

This was my view when walking back to my hotel while in NYC last week. Beautiful! If I’m not mistaken, the two beams represent the Twin towers. I’m not sure if they do this all the time or if it was just the days leading up to 9/11. They really should do it all the time – it brightens up the night sky so beautifully.
